Who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the University Hospital Galway, on Tuesday 4th February 2025.

 

Predeceased by his parents James (Sonny) and Bridget, sisters Patricia, Mary, Sheila and brother Sean.

 

Jim will be very sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend Betty, his adored children Sinead, Patricia, Cathy, David and Ruth, sons-in-law Dessie, Vinnie, James and Vivian, daughter-in-law Maria, grandchildren Caoimhe, Erin, Ciara, Evan, Ruairí, Ryan, Niall, Rebecca, Daithí, Freya, Lee and Zoe, brother Noel, sisters Evelyn (Miller), Anne (Nolan), Blanaid (Bewley) and Peg (Barrett), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

 

Jim will lie in Repose in Kilboy’s Funeral Home (H62 KF63) on Friday 7th February from 5 – 7pm.

 

Jim’s Requiem Mass will take place in St. Killian’s Church, Ballymanagh, on Saturday 8th February at 1.30pm, followed by burial afterwards in Clostoken Cemetery.

 

Jim’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours & friends for all their kindness and support at this very sad time.
