Jim Dunne

Jim Dunne, Kilcornan, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway and formerly of Benamore, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. December 23rd, 2025. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jim unexpectedly after a short illness borne with dignity and courage, surrounded by his loving family at the Galway Clinic.

Dearly beloved husband of Eileen, much loved father of Adrian, Kevin, Dermot and Brendan. Jim will be sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Carmel, Claire, Miriam and Carol. Jim was a very proud grandad to Dylan, Jack, Padraig, Luke, Ellie, Chloe, Emily and Cillian. He is survived by his family Mary, Veronica, Dennis and Helen (Scotland), Ann (Slane), Michael (Dundalk), John (Clonakenny), Kathleen (Birr), Marian (Mountrath), Rita and Bernie (U.S.A.), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Suaimhneas on the grounds of the Church of the Annunciation, Clarinbridge (H91HW58), this Friday evening the 26th of December from 4pm to 6pm, Funeral Mass in St. Colman's Church, Roveagh (H91XK29) on Saturday the 27th of December at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice.
