Jim Hunter

Hunter, Hillcrest, Skibbereen and Glasgow. On July 19th, 2024 at home, surrounded by his heartbroken wife and loving family. JIM, darling husband and best friend of Ailish (nee O'Grady). Son of the late John and Margaret. Loving father of Paula and Ross and the best stepfather to Donal, Finbarr, Junior, Vincent (O Mahony) and Catherine (Twomey). Brother of Stuart, Geena, Joan, and Kenny and the late John, George, Irene and Margaret. Dearly loved grandad of Chloe, Billy, Shane, Ryan, Taylor, Michaela, Alanna, Oisìn, Faye and Cúan. Always remembered by his sons-in-law Tobz and Stephen, daughters-in-law Sharon, Leanne, Sharon and Michaela, Alanna’s mother Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his kind neighbours and many friends and colleagues in Skibbereen AFC.

Reposing at Romie O'Donovan's Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on tomorrow Saturday, 20th July, from 5pm to 7pm followed by prayers. Private cremation to take place later.

The family would like to thank the West Cork palliative care nurses, Skibbereen community nurses, Marie, Aine, Kitty and Paula and the doctors and staff of Skibbereen Medical Centre. Also Michael McCarthy and the staff of Drinagh Pharmacy and his home helpers Bernie and Ann.
