Jim (James, Seamus) Hickey

Jim (James/Seamus) Hickey, Dromore Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim and formerly of Reafadda, Hollyford & Ballagh, Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary, peacefully at Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast on 2nd August 2023.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Niamh. Jim was the adored son of the late Tom and Josie Hickey and deeply regretted by his sister Anne, brother-in-law Eddie Wade, daughters Ailbhe and Deirdre (Barry), son Seamus, their mother Bridie, sons-in-law Brendan and John and grandchildren Seanán, Tom and Alfie.

Jim was a much adored uncle to Aoife, Eoghan, Grainne and Eamonn, uncle-in-law to Shane, Alma and Joy and granduncle to Emily, Ellie Rose, Richie, John and Beauden.

Jim’s remains will repose at the Chapel of Rest, O’Neill’s Funeral Directors, 98 Stewartstown Road, Belfast, BT11 9JP from 1 pm – 5 pm on Friday 4th August 2023. Jim’s remains will make their final journey to White's Funeral Home, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary, on Saturday, 5th August, where he will repose from 4 pm until 8 pm. His Requiem Mass will take place in St. Joseph’s Church, Hollyford, on Sunday at 1 pm.

Jim is deeply regretted by his loving family, his wide circle of friends and all those who cared for him.
