Jim Kent

Formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Jim passed away peacefully on the 14th of November, 2024, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Claddagh Ward, University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased recently by his beloved wife Phil and son-in-law Peter, his parents and nephew Christopher.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters Maria Glynn (Ahascragh), Sandra Hughes (Mackney) and Audrey Tighe (Loughrea), son James (Headford), six adored grandchildren Shane, Christopher, Rachel, Amy, Daniel and Aaron, Christopher's partner Laura, sons-in-law Enda and Padraic, daughter-in-law Lorraine, his brother Bill (UK), sister Brenda (France), sisters-in-law Molly and Liza, brothers-in-law Les and Martin, niece Tracy, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Jim will repose in Grenham's Funeral Home, Ballinasloe (H53 HK15), on Saturday, the 16th of November, from 6pm to 8pm, with removal afterwards to St. Michael’s Church, Ballinasloe. Jim's Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Creagh Cemetery. Jim's Requiem Mass can be viewed via live stream on https://www.churchservices.tv/ballinasloe.
