Jim McCarthy

McCarthy (Innishannon) on March 8th 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim, beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee O'Brien) and dear father of Cormac, Ann (Phayer), Catherine (Mullaney) and James, adored Granda to Emma, Alan, Marie, Jack, Rory, Max, Cian, Darragh, Lauren, Libby and Shane. Predeceased by his brother Charlie and sisters Peggy and Kathleen.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brother John, sister Teresa (Pollock), sons-in-law Kevin and Brian, daughters-in-law Rhona and Siobhan, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends especially Mick and Mary Murphy.

Jim will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Bandon (eircode P72WE20) on Monday from 5.30pm followed by Prayers at 7pm. Due to the road works in the centre of Bandon town, access to the Funeral Home is advised via Chapel Street or Riverview Shopping Centre.

Jim's Funeral Cortège will leave his home on Tuesday at 11.15am approx. en route to St. Mary's Church, Innishannon for Requiem Mass at 12 noon which will be livestreamed on www.corklivestream.com/funerals after which Jim will be laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery.
