Jim O’Hanlon

The death has occurred of Jim O’Hanlon, 11 O’Duffy Terrace, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 peacefully surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff of the Willowbridge Ward, Monaghan Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Rose, sister May, brother Michael and grandson baby Patrick Duffy.

Jim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heart broken family, his devoted wife Kathleen, daughters Bernie and Martina, sons Barry and Keith, sons in-law Sean and Stephen, daughters in-law Martina and Noeleen, his cherished grandchildren Hannah, Luke, Sarah, Aimee, Kayla, Katie, Lily, Rachel, Lucy and Jessica, his adored great grandchildren Harry, Aoife and Logan, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Jim will repose at Wards Funeral Home, Ballybay (A75 H585), tomorrow Monday from 4pm until 8pm.

Jim’s funeral cortège will travel from the family home in O’ Duffy Terrace on Tuesday morning at 11:30am (proceeding on foot) to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballybay for funeral mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to Monaghan General Hospital or the Ballybay Cancer Society, C/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box.
