Jim Olney

OLNEY (Greenwood Estate, Togher): On May 27th, 2024, unexpectedly, but peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Cork University Hospital. JIM (late of Cork Examiner), dearly beloved husband of Catherine, much loved dad of Ian, Kim, Eve, Joy and Lee, adored grandad “Jimmy” of Sarah, Amy, Alice, Shannon, Joe, Tara, Kate, Dylan, Martha, Daisy, James, Jake and Joshua and great-grandad of Ollie, dear brother of Mary, Anne and Frank and the late Michael.

 

Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, daughter-in-law Flora, sons-in-law Diarmaid, Tony, Brendan and Martin, Sarah’s husband Brendan, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing at his residence (136 Greenwood Estate, Togher) on Wednesday (May 29th) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

 

Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Thursday (May 30th) in the Church of the Way of the Cross. Togher which can be viewed

here

 

Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr’s Cemetery.
