Jim (Rusty) Hughes

The death has occurred of Jim (Rusty) Hughes, Corraskea, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan, Monday 13th April 2026, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Edward and Annetta Hughes, his sister Eileen, his sister-in-law Margaret and brother-in-law Liam.

Much loved husband of Ann and cherished father of Laura (Patsy), Joanne (Alan Forde), Donna and Darren (Melissa). Jim will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, son and their partners, adored grandchildren Aaron, Nicola, Molly (Micheal), Emma-Rose, Alisha, Chloe, Jamie, Tyler, Kayla and Harrison, sisters Annetta, Josephine, Philomena and Geraldine, brothers Edward and Kevin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Jim.

May Jim's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Jim will repose at the family home, Corraskea, Scotshouse, H23 FY03 on Wednesday (15th) from 5pm and again on Thursday (16th) from 12noon. Family time on Friday Morning Please. Removal on Friday morning (17th) at 10.15am, arriving to St Mary's Church, Ture for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Please note there will be a one way system in place entering via the Green Gates (Hilton Entrance, Scotshouse Rd.).
