Jim (Seamus) DAWSON

The death has occurred of Lt. Colonel (Retd.) Jim (Seamus) Dawson, South Circular Road, Limerick, late of Bishopstown, Cork and Cappa, Kilrush, Co. Clare. Peacefully and unexpectedly, at Aras Chois Fharraige, An Spideal, in his hundredth year.

Beloved husband of the late Nellie and the late Margaret (Peggie). Sadly missed by his sons Tony, Niall and Denis. Mourned by his loving daughters-in-law Liz and Muriel (Higgins), sisters Patricia (Lane), Enda (Jansen-Dawson) and Sr. Clare Dawson, C.P., grandchildren Sophia, Ciaran, Thomas, Emily and David, brother-in-law Joe (Carmody), sisters-in-law Colette (Nix) and Laurie (Kelleher), nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Pre-deceased by his sisters Goldie (Afford), Assumpta (Young) and brother Leo.

Reposing at Conneely's Funeral Home, Flood St., Galway (H91 A786) on Monday evening (9th February) from 6 o'clock with Prayers at 7 o'clock. Reposing at St. Senan's Church Kilrush, Co. Clare (V15 NW42) on Tuesday evening (10th February) from 6 o'clock with Prayers at 7 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning (11th February) at 11 o'clock, followed by burial in New Shanakyle Cemetery.
