Jim (Seamus) O'Shea

O’Shea (Strawberry Hill, formerly of Glanmire and Tyromoyle, Co. Kerry); It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Jim on January 31st 2026, following the exceptional care of the staff at Cork University Hospital, and previously at Mount Desert Care Home.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Josephine; his children Eoghan, Aoife and Cathal; and his siblings Mary, Donie, John and Michael. Sadly missed by his devoted daughters-in-law Paula, Urse and Corinne; his cherished grandchildren Seamus, Nessa, Linda, Theo, Éinín and Róisín; extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Tuesday 3rd February from 6.00pm to 7.00pm with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 4th February at 1.00pm in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Western Road. Funeral afterwards to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Jim’s Requiem Mass can be viewed on Sacred Heart Church Live-Stream. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
