Joan Coughlan née Ryan,

Dunmore East, Co. Waterford

and formerly of Shortcourse, Waterford.

Joan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at University Hospital Waterford.

Friday 30th January 2026 R.I.P.

Predeceased by her beloved Husband Jim, brothers Pakie, Billy and Martin and sister Maggie.

Loving and much Loved mother of Philip, Sandra and Kim, she will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Anita, Sandra's partner Alan and Kim's partner Noel, Joan will be fondly remembered by her sisters Lily and Theresa and brothers John and Danny, her adoring grandchildren Amy, Sophie and Ciaran, great-grandchildren Alfie, Lilah and Jake, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.

May her gentle and kind soul rest in everlasting peace.

Reposing at her residence (X91C8P0) on Sunday (February 1st) from 4pm to 7pm.

Removal on Monday (February 2nd) to Our Lady’s Church, Carbally for Requiem Mass at 11am, Immediately afterwards Joan will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Carbally.

Joan's family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff of UHW,

for the exceptional and loving care given. It was all greatly appreciated.
