Joan Keane
(née O'Shea)

On January 31st, 2026, peacefully, in her 91st year, surrounded by her loving family, JOAN, beloved wife of the late Matt and loving mother of Sheila, Jo-Anne, Dennis, Mary-Beth, Eileen and Mattie.

Pre-deceased by her children Neil, Daniel and Matthew, son-in-law Denis Whyte and by her siblings Jackie, Paddy, Jeremiah and Jimmy.

Sadly missed by her loving family, her sisters Esther, Judy and Cathy, her brothers Danny and Noel; her sons-in-law Shane Hurley, Mike Crowley and Shane Ronan; her daughters-in-law Sandee Keane and Maria Collard; her adored grandchildren Laura, Denise, Paul, Eamon, Brian, Eoin, Dylan, Conor, Kevin, Ronan, Riona, Katie, Ella-Rose and Hannah; and her great-grandchildren Ava, Shay and Sierra. Also sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bushmount Nursing Home and to her carers at home for their kindness and devoted care.

 

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St., Bantry, P75YW58 on Monday Feb 2nd, from 5pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm.

Requiem Mass at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry on Tuesday Feb. 3rd at 12noon (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery.
