Joan died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Friday 9th, December, 2022. She is predeceased by her father Michael (Mike), Joan will be forever remembered, as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by her husband John, sons Michael and Fabian, mother Mai, sisters Sheila, Marie, Margo, Colette, Phylis and Michelle, daughters-in-law Kate and Carol, grandchildren Ella, Mitchell, Eli, Fletcher and Mia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives, dear neighbours and friends.

Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.

Rest in Peace Joan

Reposing in her home today (eircode N39 V027), Friday 9th, from 2 o'clock until 9 o'clock, with prayers at 7 o'clock. As with Joan's wishes, her body will be bequest to the College of Medicine at NUI, Galway, for the purpose of teaching and advancement in medical research.  No flowers please: Donation can be made in Joan's memory to Longford Palliative Care, c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member.

Joan's family would like to thank all her Carers and Medical Staff and their teams including Doctors and also Palliative Care and their staff especially the night nurse Rebecca.
