Joan Shortt
(née Briggs)
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Joan Shortt sadly passed away on the 17th of February in Cavan General Hospital following a short illness.
Originally from Rafter’s Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, Joan made Virginia, Cavan her home since 2001
Already terribly missed by her husband of 56 years Luke, her memory cherished by her children Howard, Tracy, and Nicola and all her favourite grandchildren Ellen, Cian, Elise, Ruby, Ethan, Joseph and Andrew and her great-grandson Tadhgh
Joan’s family wish to thank all the staff of Cavan General who cared for Joan, most especially in the last couple of weeks
May Joan’s gentle soul Rest in Peace, may she always guide and look out for us
Reposing in O'Dwyer's Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia (A82 C2N6), Wednesday 19th February from 6pm to 8pm.
Funeral to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Virginia on Thursday 20th February arriving for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial adjacent cemetery
