Joanne Aherne

Aherne, Joanne (Jo) late of Glasnevin and Finglas, and more recently Highfield Nursing Home -11th March 2026 (peacefully) at the Mater Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Brigid and Seamus, sister Gemma, brother Jimmy and nephew Hugo. She will be sadly missed by her sister Mary, brothers Stephen, Rory and Larry, sister-in-law Maria, and brother-in-law Jean Claude, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Ballygall Road West, (D11 W7VX) on Thursday (19th March) from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Funeral on Friday morning (20th March) to Our Lady of Dolours Church, Glasnevin for 10o’clock Requiem Mass followed by Burial in Dardistown Cemetery.

 

The family wish to sincerely thank the staff of Highfield Nursing Home, the Mater Hospital HDU unit and the Palliative Care Team for their exceptional care of Joanne in recent times.
