Joe Byrne

Byrne, Joe (Patrick) (Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly of Dunmore, Co. Galway and New York) March 30th., 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the excellent care of the staff at Mater University Hospital and previously in the care of St Mary's Hospital Phoenix Park. Beloved husband of Margaret (née Nagle) and much-loved father of Niall, Deirdre, Mark, Áine and Joey and a cherished grandad of Patrick, Fiadh, Nicole, Luke, Clara and Cillian. Pre-deceased by his brother Martin and sister Mary Bridget. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Alan, daughters-in-law Danielle, Mairead and Pamela, brothers Tom and Jim, sister Sheila, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Wednesday evening (April 1st) between 6 pm and 8 pm. Removal on Thursday afternoon (April 2nd) to St. Mary’s Church, Lucan arriving for Funeral Prayers at 1.30 pm followed by burial in Esker Cemetery.
