Joe Cooney

The death has occurred of Joe Cooney, Turtulla, Thurles and formerly Ballybeg, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. In the wonderful care of the staff of Fennor Hill Care Facility, Urlingford and St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Katie, brothers Marty, Michael, Seamus, John, Paddy and Phil, sister Kitty (Cooke), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law.

Deeply regretted by his devoted family; wife Maura (née O'Meara), sons James and Declan, daughter Edel, grandchildren Aaron, Anthony, Jack, Sam, Kilian, Kiara and Evan, great-grandson Arthur, daughters-in-law Alice and Anna, sisters Mary (Ryan) and Nellie (Lee), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Ted, Sean and Dinny, sisters-in-law Patsy, Josie and Kathleen, cousins, Sean Treacy Pipe Band members, neighbours, Fennor Hill community and many friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Saturday 28th March from 5pm to 7.30pm. Arriving at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Sunday 29th March at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles.
