Joe Downey
DOWNEY (Douglas, Cork): On May 21st, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, JOE, (late teaching staff of Douglas Community School), dearly beloved husband of Mary (née Hogan), much loved dad of Dave, Mark, Anne-Marie & Val, adored grandad of Siobhán, Caoimhe, Niamh, Bobby and Sam.
Very sadly missed by his loving wife and family, brothers, Gerard, Charles and Micheal, sisters, Ann and Gabrielle, son-in-law Richie, daughter-in-law Roshan, brothers in-law, sister- in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd; On Monday (May 26th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Tuesday (May 27th) in St. Columba’s Church, Douglas which can be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. John’s Cemetery, Ballinrea.
