Joe Gaffey

Formerly of Sarsfield Square, Athlone.

Joe passed away peacefully on the 20th of April 2026 surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Aghadoe Ward, University Hospital Kerry.

Beloved husband of Julie and loving father of Darren and Jonathan. Sadly missed by his family, daughter-in-law Joanne, adored grandchildren Katie, Olivia, Ruby, Kian and Logan, sisters Joan and Mary, brother Declan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Joe is pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Gertie and his brother Ray.

Reposing at O'Shea's Funeral Home, Killarney this Wednesday the 22nd of April from 7:15pm to 8:30pm. Funeral arriving at St. Mary's Cathedral at 10:00am on Thursday morning for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. A private cremation will take place at 11:00am on Friday in the Island Crematorium Cork.
