Joe, in his 96th year, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on Friday, 24th January, 2025 in the Mercy University Hospital, Cork.

 

Dearly beloved husband of Noreen (née O’Connor), much loved father of Bernard, Mary (O’Flaherty), Noel and Paul, cherished grandfather of Alan, Lisa, Stephen, Kevin, Sarah, Diarmuid, Aaron, and Aoife, and great-grandather of Kate, Andrew, Oliver, Ava, Sophia, Gearóid, Luke, Clodagh, Nadia and Siofra.

 

Predeceased by his brother Tommy, sisters Kitty (O’Sullivan), Lil and Babe.

 

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, family, daughters-in-law Deirdre, Christine and the late Mary, son-in-law Bob, sister-in-law Jean and the late Connie O’Sullivan, nephew Andrew, nieces Mandy and Alison, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in O'Keeffe's Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Mallow (P51 XE2T) on Sunday evening from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, followed by Prayers.

 

Reception into the Church of the Resurrection, Mallow on Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, after which Joe will be laid to rest in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery, Mallow.

 

 

 

 

Joe was thankful for the wonderful care he received from his Carers, Rose, Eileen and Joanne, Dr. Molony and staff at the Red House Clinic, MPHC, the staff at BlueBird Care and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mercy University Hospital, Cork.
