Joe Higgins

It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Joe Higgins, Blarney St, Cork, (late of Mayfield), who passed away on 10th January 2026, peacefully at Cork University Hospital, surrounded by his family. ​​​​​​ Joe (late of CUH Security), cherished husband and best friend of 61 years of Ann (Née Moynihan), adored father of Paul, Pat, Mark and Lisa. Predeceased by his parents Lou, Doll and his sister Bridge.

Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, grandchildren Mark, Jamie, Séan, Adam, Ciara, David, Ava, Mathew, Jason, Paul, great-grandchildren, son-in-law Ken, daughters-in-law Betty, Paula, Tracy, sisters Ann (Redmond), Mary (Hurley), brother-in-law, niece, nephews, extended family and great neighbours.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Monday 12th January 2026 from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 11.00am in the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Clogheen. Which will be live streamed on the following Link.

Followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Which will be live streamed on the following Link
