Joe (Joseph) Trant of Newcastle, Co. Dublin and formerly of Keel, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry. September 13, 2025.

Peacefully, in the care of the Bon Secours Hospital and his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Olive and his parents Mary and John.

He will be sadly missed by his sons David and Martin, his treasured grandchildren Aoife, Dee, Nikita, Elisha, Hayley and Fionn, Maura his partner, daughters-in-law Karen and Sharon, sisters Nora, Mary, Sheila, Bridget, brothers Martin, Michael and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home (D22 RF38) on Wednesday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral mass on Thursday morning at 10am in St. Finian’s Church, Newcastle followed by burial in Newcastle Cemetery. Family flowers only donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
