Joe McSweeney

McSWEENEY (Shannonvale, Clonakilty and formerly of Middle Square, Macroom): on November 6th 2024, passed away peacefully under the exceptional care of the staff of Ward 4C and the Dialysis Unit at Cork University Hospital. JOE loving husband and best friend of Pauline (nee O’Dea), cherished father of Ellen, Shane, Terri and Evelyn, beloved grandfather of Jody and Hannah, brother of the late Fr. James (California) and Jerry (London). Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, son-in-law Kieran, Terri’s partner Gabrielle, sisters Evelyn (Macroom) and Mary (Macroom), brothers Denis (Nenagh), Donal (Ballinora), Michael (Dunmanway) and Timmy (Macroom) as well as their families, the extended O'Dea family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Friday, November 8th 2024, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, November 9th 2024, at 12noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. This will be livestreamed here, followed by Cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork at 3pm. This will be livestreamed here.
