Joe O'NEILL

Joe O’Neill of 52 Beechwood Drive, Rathnapish and formerly of Ballyfoyle, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully on April 13th 2026, under the loving care of the nurses and staff of the Sacred Heart Hospital.

Beloved husband of the late Imelda, cherished father of Debra, Sharon, Michael, Brian and Niall. Loved and missed by his grandchildren Dany, Dane, Jessica, Eva, Alex, Niall Jnr, Callum and Niamh, great-grandchildren AJ and Nathan, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Anita, Brian’s partner Catherine and Niall’s partner Stephanie.

Joe will also be sadly missed by his brothers Frank and Barry, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow R93H308 on Wednesday (April 15th) from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass Thursday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.
