Joe (Patrick Joseph) Mannion

The death has occurred of Professor Joe (Patrick Joseph) Mannion, Kilmacud Dublin and previously of Grange, Curraghboy Co. Roscommon.

Peacefully, at the Belmont Nursing Home, Blackrock Co. Dublin on Sunday 8th February 2026. Predeceased by his beloved first wife Sadie. Deeply regretted by his wife Sheelagh, brother Thomas, sister Philomena, sons Martin, Enda, and Joe, daughters Nora and Edel, grandchildren Orla, Laura, Enya, Tom, Aoife, Liam, Robin, Mark, Julie, Aidan, Cormac, Moya, and Síle, great-granddaughter Leonie, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law Jane, Helen, Derek, Silke and Clive, stepsons Paul, Odhran and Conor, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum (D14F3X2) on Tuesday evening (10th February) from 6pm to 8pm.

Complimentary car parking is available at the old Dundrum Shopping Centre (Lidl) car park - entrance on Dundrum Village Main Street (not Dundrum Town Centre Car Park). Tickets to exit car park, free of charge, available on request at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum.

Removal on Wednesday morning (11th February) to the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtown Park Avenue, Blackrock (A94WF89) for Funeral Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
