Joe Sreenan

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Joe Sreenan, Kingston, Galway and formerly Ballymote, Co. Sligo. Joe passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the Galway Hospice after an illness borne with incredible dignity.

 

Beloved husband of the late Eileen and much-loved father of Deirdre, Áine and Conor, adored grandfather of Conor, Arlo, Ellen, Fiadh, Gwen and the late Seb. Predeceased also by his brother Jarlath. Dearly missed by his children and their spouses Phil, Cathal and Adele, his grandchildren, sister Eileen, brothers Jim and Eamonn, the extended Sreenan and Codd family, friends and neighbours and former Teagasc colleagues.

Funeral Arrangements

Wednesday, March 25th, 2026

Joe will lie in repose at home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, March 26th, 2026

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Joe at the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra on arrival at 11 a.m. This Mass will be live streamed; link: http: www.knocknacarraparish.ie/

 

Friday, March 27th, 2026

A Committal Service will be celebrated for Joe at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin at 1:30 p.m.

Family flowers only please. Memorial donations if desired will be gratefully appreciated by the Galway Hospice.
