John A. Blakey

John A. Blakey Piobaire, Kilatee, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and formerly Leeds, Yorkshire, England, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 2nd 2026.

Beloved husband of Maria (Fitzpatrick), cherished father of Kiera and Holly, adored grandfather of Aneirin and Winter.

Predeceased by his brother Peter and sister-in-law Joyce.

John will be dearly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers Mick and Chris, sons-in-law Chris and Gwilym, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his Home Piobaire, Kilatee, Maudabawn (H16 TK54) this Friday evening from 4pm to 8pm. Removal leaving his home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

House private at all other times and on Saturday morning please.
