John A. Ryan

Ryan John A. (Raheny, Dublin 5), 29th December, 2024. Colonel (Retired), former Provost Marshal of the Defence Forces, Director, Military Police Corps and last surviving member of the first Irish Peacekeeping Group to serve with the United Nations (UNOGIL 1958). Predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan, in 2023. He will be very sadly missed by his son Michael and heartbroken daughter Helen, Michael’s partner Kristen, nephews, nieces and children of the extended families of Ryan and Stafford.

Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Thursday 2nd January, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal to Our Lady Mother of Divine Grace Church, Raheny on Friday morning for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. House private.
