The death has occurred of John Barrett, Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, County Galway and formerly of Barraviddane, Inch, Killeagh, County Cork

John passed peacefully from this life, on Friday 6th August, in the care of the staff of The Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, surrounded by many who loved him and held him in high regard.

He will be sadly missed by Nellie and Joe, Donnie and Amelia, Guy, his sister Philomena (Wexford), nieces and nephews, their families, relatives, neighbours and his many friends, at The Little Flower, Kilchreest and Killeagh.

A private Mass will be celebrated, for the repose of John’s soul, with immediate family and friends only, on Thursday, 12th August, in The Church of the Nativity, Kilchreest, at 12 noon.  For those who would have liked to attend the Mass, but can’t due to current restrictions, John’s Mass will be streamed live on the following link MASS WEBCAM (Please click on the Kilchreest camera). John will be laid to rest in Kilchreest New Cemetery immediately after Mass.

John’s funeral cortège will leave from Dignity Funeral home, Barrack St., Loughrea, at 11.20am, making its way via the Gort Road to Kilchreest Church. Family, friends and neighbours are invited, if they wish, to stand at their homes or along the route as a mark of support to the family. Please maintain the respect of social distance for each other as directed by the HSE and Public Health.
