John Barry

Barry (Banteer). On December 17th 2025, peacefully, in the excellent care of the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Cork University Hospital, after a long illness bravely borne, John (Johnny), Gurrane, beloved brother of Mary (Nagle) and the late Patsy and Timmie.

Deeply regretted by his sister, brother-in-law Jackie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home, Banteer on Friday (December 19th) from 5:30p.m. followed by prayers at 7:00p.m. Reception into St Fursey's Church, Banteer on Saturday (December 20th) for Requiem Mass at 10:30a.m. which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/banteer . Burial afterwards in St. Fursey's Cemetery
