John Bernard Walsh

The death has occurred of John Bernard Walsh, Magherabeg, Oughterard, Galway on May 21st, 2025.

John, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, under the compassionate and wonderful care of all the staff at the Galway Hospice.
Beloved husband of Terry and much-loved father of Jonathan, Rachael, Peter, and Becky. Deeply mourned by his loving family, his sisters Mary and Noreen, the extended Walsh and Regan families, neighbours, friends, former colleagues in Galway Court Services, and lifelong friends, the Higgins family.

Reposing at the family home, Magherabeg, Oughterard, Galway (H91 DHN8), on Friday, May 23rd from 3pm to 7pm.

Directions: Exit the N59 at the Magherabeg sign onto the L5342 and follow the Funeral signs to John's residence. Please note that a one-way traffic system will be in operation on Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm. John's family appreciates your co-operation with the traffic and parking stewards.Traffic will be directed accordingly.

 

Arriving for Requiem Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, May 24th at 2.30pm at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Oughterard, H91 EA21.
Following Mass, John will be laid to rest in Oughterard Cemetery.
