John Breen

John Breen, Ballyvourney and formerly of Gortlahard, Kilgarvan, passed away on the 31st January 2026. After a long illness bravely borne, John passed peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at C.U.H, Cork.

Beloved husband of Mairead (née Collins), dear father of Molly, Daniel and Conor, loving son of Dan and Mary, dearest brother of David, Breda (Grant), Donal, Myra (Fitzgerald), Gerard and Caroline and son-in-law of Noreen and the late Olan.

John will be sadly missed by his family, Molly's partner Andrew, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

Reposing at St Gobnait's Church, Ballyvourney on Monday February 2nd from 6pm with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday February 3rd at 2pm after which John will be laid to rest in St Gobnait's Cemetery, Ballyvourney.
