Middlequarter, Inishbofin, Galway

The death has occurred of John Burke, Middlequarter, Inishbofin after a tragic fishing accident.

 

Predeceased by his parents Ned and Ann Marie, his niece Emer and nephew in-law Micky.

 

Deeply mourned by his heartbroken wife Mary, brother Tommy, sisters Mary and Ann, brother in-law Fabrix, nephew Conor and his wife Catherine, nephews Seán and Dafe, niece Aisling and her husband Martin, niece Elaina, his nine grand nieces and nephews, mother in-law Maureen, brothers in-law Marty and his wife Martina and Michael and his partner Angela, sister in-law Cathy and her husband Feichin, nephews in-law, nieces in-law and their families, his neighbours and many many friends. And his beloved dog and best friend Rebel.

 

Removal from Cleggan pier on Sunday 7th July for 2pm ferry. Requim mass will be held on Monday 8th July at 1 pm at St Colman's church. Burial afterwards at St Colman's cemetery, Inishbofin.

 

The family would like to thank the emergency services, coast guards, RNLI and the community on Inishbofin for their search and rescue efforts and for getting John home.
