The death has occurred of
John Buttimer
BUTTIMER (Curraheen Estate, Bishopstown and formerly of Mount Nebo, Gurranabraher, Cork): On 9th February 2023, peacefully in the presence of his family at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, JOHN (retired Butcher, St. Vincent’s Hurling and Football Club and founding member of Bishopstown Boxing Club), dearly beloved husband of the late Margaret (née Short), much loved dad of Anthony, Paul, Sean, Jennifer, Laura and the late Sabrina.
Lovingly remembered by his family, sisters Kathleen and Theresa, brothers Liam and Derry, sons-in-law Paul and Chris, daughters-in-law Claire, Nang and Jacqui, Anthony’s partner Donna, grandchildren John Paul, Clára, Cillian, Sophie, Ronan, Scott, Harry, Dylan, Clídna, Ryan, Graham, James, Amelia and Maggie, great-grandson James, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing in the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh. O’ Connor Ltd. on Sunday (February 12th) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Monday (February 13th) in the Church of the Real Presence Curraheen Road which can be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Model Farm Road.
