John Byrden, Glashare, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny, February 1st. 2026, unexpectedly but peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Mary.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife and best friend Freda, his adored sisters and brother, Marie (Whyte), Helen (Glendon), Hilda (Mackey) and Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, parents-in-law Brian and Liz Mulvany, nieces, nephews, uncle Séan, aunt Stasia, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Doyle's Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Thursday evening February 5th from 4 o'clock until 7.30. Removal from his residence on Friday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Cremation and a celebration of John's life will take place on Saturday at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork at 1 o'clock.
