The death has occurred peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital Castlebar of John Cahill, Carrarea, Curry, Co. Sligo after a brief illness fought with great courage and dignity, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his parents Viola and Mike – brother James and nephew Michael.
John will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family – his wife Frances (Waters), sons Sean and Liam and his daughter Michelle – his treasured grandchildren Shay and Hailey, Michelle’s step-daughter Amelia, his son-in-law Jonathan and his daughter-in-law Jennifer – his brothers Tony (Ballaghadereen) and Michael (Tubbercurry) – his sister Sr. Helen (Marist Sisters), sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Rest In Peace
Remains reposing at St. Therese's Funeral Home, Curry Village, Curry, Co. Sligo F91 NY30 on Sunday evening, April 5th, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
Funeral Mass on Monday, April 6th, at 11:00am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Curry with burial afterwards in Rhue Cemetery.
Family flowers only by request. Donations, if desired, to Sligo Cancer Support Centre, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo.
