John Carmody

John Carmody of Upper William St. and formerly Derry, Listowel, Co. Kerry, died peacefully, in the wonderful care of the Bon Secours Hospital,

Tralee on the 30th April 2025, beloved life companion of Mary (née Griffin) and dearest father of Maurice, Mike & Paul, brother of the late Catherine,

Mary & Thomas.

 

Sadly missed by his loving family, his grandchildren Emmet, Iona, James & Róisín, daughters-in-law Nienke & Eleanor, his brother Dick, sister Ellen,

brothers-in-law Patrick Griffin, Brendan O'Rafferty & Bob Murray, sister-in-law Eileen, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Greenville, Listowel on Friday (2nd May) from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Listowel on

Saturday morning at 11.15 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated at 11.30 a.m. (streamed on www.listowelparish.com). Interment

afterwards in St. John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.

 

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K. (via “Donation” link below – Kerry Hospice Foundation), or care of the

Gleasure Funeral Home, Listowel.
