John Carr

Glinsk, Fanad, Donegal

Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

 

Deeply regretted by his wife Bridget, daughters Mary McElwaine and her husband Patrick (Ballylar), Christine McElwaine and husband John (Ballylar), Anne McColgan and husband Owen (Muff), Fidelma Mc Daid and husband Gary (Glenswilly), Bridgeen Doherty and husband Paddy (Killyclug), Martina Harley and husband Gerard (RIP 2022) (Rathdonnell), sons Shaun and wife Susan (Aughnagaddy), Patrick and wife Mari (Glinsk), Paul and wife Siobhan (Grovehall, Ramelton) and Enda and wife Brighdín (Cashelshanaghan).

 

Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Anne Carr (Manchester) and May Carr (Buncrana), his 28 grandchildren, his 6 great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and his many many friends.

John's remains will repose at his late residence from 3pm today, Thursday 21st. Removal from there on Saturday 23rd arriving at St. Mary's Church, Fanavolty for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

 

A one way traffic system will be in operation during the day (entry at Leatbeg crossroad and exit at Ladden). From 4.30pm until 9.30pm minibus transport will then take over, pickup from the layby beside the Harry Blaney Bridge.

 

Family time from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Mevagh Fire Station c/o any family member.

 

The Funeral Mass will be streamed live on the Mc Ateer Funeral Director Facebook page. Condolences may be left in the section below.
