The death has occurred of

John CLEARY

Dublin

John Cleary, formerly of Walkinstown Avenue/Celbridge and Beacon South Quarter has passed away, peacefully, at Maryfield Nursing Home, on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021, after a long and brave strenuous battle with dementia. He is survived by his soulmate and wife Noreen, who loved and cared for him deeply till the very end. He is remembered and dearly missed by his extended family, his nieces and nephews, loyal friends, sporting comrades and former colleagues.

I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude to all those who have helped ease our pain on this difficult journey. In particular those at St. Vincent’s Hospital for their diligent care and expertise, following with his private carers Christian, Amelia, Vidya and Tina who made him comfortable during his confusing time. Finally, I would like to say an immense thank you from my heart to all those in the MaryField Nursing home who cared for John with the same intensity of love as I had and made his last 3 years the best I could have wished for.

There will be a funeral Mass on Friday 4th of June at 11am in Maryfield Nursing Home.
