Peacefully in the company of his loving family while in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Clondalkin Lodge Nursing Home. Forever loved and missed by his beloved wife Anne, their children Geraldine (Downing), Robert, and Elaine, his son-in-law-Maurice, daughter-in-law Stephanie, his treasured grandchildren Hannah and Jenny, sisters Margo and Ann, brother Jim, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, former colleagues at Independent Newspapers and his friends, especially in the Irish Bridge, and Horse Racing communities. John was predeceased by his brothers Paddy and Frank.

John will repose at Fanagans Funeral Home, Willbrook, Rathfarnham on Thursday 6th June from 3 pm to 5 pm. A celebration of life service will take place at 3 pm on Friday, 7th June in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome.
