John Cooney

The death has occurred, in his 84th year, of John Cooney, Sea Road, Castlebellingham and late of North Road, Drogheda peacefully in the wonderful care of the doctors and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. John, beloved husband of Dorrie (née Masur) and loving father of Martin, Joanne, Maria and Andrew. Predeceased by his daughters Sandra and Caroline, brothers Dessie and Tony and sister Cathy. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Louise and Bernie, son-in-law Shane, grandchildren Amelia, Sophie, Shea, Lois, Ava, Caragh, Dylan, Conor, A J and Zoe, brothers Paddy and Eamonn, sisters Angela and Joan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (Eircode A92 V38H) from 4pm until 8pm on Friday. Removal on Saturday morning to Saint Mary’s Church, Kilsaran, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am which can be viewed live at https://churchmedia.tv/saint-marys-roman-catholic-church-kilsaran . Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
