John passed away peacefully on Thursday 17 October 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his father Peter and mother Annie, brothers Martin Pat and Matt and by his recently deceased sister Bridie.

Loved and sadly missed by his wife Bríd, children Ethna, Seán, Ciarán and Orla and their spouses and partners John, Orla, Hilary and Alan.

John will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his beloved grandchildren Hannah, Muiren, Marcus and Daimhin, sisters Maureen and Terry, brother Tom, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family funeral parlour, Mervue, Galway on Monday 21 October, 2024 from 5.00 p.m., with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to St. Patrick's Church, Forster Street.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 22 October. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.

The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the medical and care staff who looked after John in the Bon Secours Hospital, Renmore.
