John D. Nugent, Sonas Village, Athlone, Co. Westmeath and formerly, Dublin, Tuesday, November 17th 2020 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the compassionate care of the wonderful staff of St Joseph's Ward, Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. Predeceased by his beloved Maria and his brothers Peter (Fr Andrew) and Patrick.

Sadly missed by his loving children Peter, Michael, Mary, Patrick, Liz, James, Jennifer (Mullins), Elaine and Joanne (Grennan), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother James and his wife Margaret and Siobhan Nugent. John will be a sad loss to his 18 grandchildren who were a great joy to him. Also missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends.

In keeping with current guidelines and with the support and agreement of the family, the funeral will take place privately for John's family only. The funeral cortege will leave his daughter Joanne's home (Clara) on    Friday morning and will arrive at St Mary's Church, Athlone for Mass of the Resurrection at 10.30am. Burial afterwards in St Coman's Cemetery, Roscommon Town. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St Vincent de Paul.
