John Doherty

With deep sadness we announce the death of John Doherty of Drimagra, Letterbarrow, Co. Donegal after a long illness, peacefully at home in the care of his family.

 

John is predeceased by his father Michael, mother Mary, brother Neil and sister Mary (Sr. Anne Maureen).

 

Sadly missed by his wife, Mary, children Elizabeth, Fiona, Sean, Margaret and Pauline, his brother Michael and sister in law Nuala.

Loving grandfather to Eoghan, Ferdia, Dáire, Eibhlín, Johnny and Lelia.

Father-in-law to Chris, Gavin and Thomas, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends

John’s remains will repose at Tir Connell Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94FX3A on Monday, 24th of November from 2 o’clock until 7:30 followed by private removal to his late residence.

 

House strictly private

 

Requiem mass will take place in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Drimarone on Tuesday morning at 11am with interment afterwards in the local cemetery.

 

John's family wish to sincerely thank the exceptional carers, district nurse Jackie, GP and hospital staff for their dedicated care during his long illness.
