John Donovan of Meenacuing, Gweedore, Co. Donegal and formerly of Cabra in Dublin died peacefully at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin after a short illness on January 10th 2025. Predeceased by his wife Sadie and son Mark and sister Maureen.

Sadly missed by his sons, Bryan and Sean, his daughters-in-law, Karen Murphy and Karen Henwood his grandchildren, Malachy, Dearbhla and Ruadhan, his brother Paddy, sister-in-law Ann, his relatives, friends and old colleagues from the ESB in Gweedore.

His remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) between 2pm and 8pm on Sunday, January 12th, with the Rosary at 8pm. His funeral Mass will be held in Teach Pobail Cholmcille Cnoc Fola (F92 D586) on Monday at 11am followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery.
