John Donovan, No. 9 Crokers Square, Crokers Hill, Kilkenny and formerly of Mill Street, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully, after an illness bravely borne surrounded by his loving family, at St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny, on Wednesday, 24th September 2025.

Pre-deceased by his parents Paddy and Kathleen.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing family, his sisters Tracey and Siobhán and his brother Jessie, nieces Lauren, Robyn and Isabel, nephews Stephen, Ryan, Ciarán and Ali, aunts Biddy and Teresa, uncles Mick and Jimmy, brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-law Teresa, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends, especially those in John Locke’s GAA Club.

Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan (Eircode R95 Y443) on Friday, 26th September from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Prayers on Saturday morning, 27th September at 10.15am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan.
