The death has occurred of
JOHN DOODY
DOODY (Slip Lawn, Bantry and formerly of Coolgarrive, Killarney): On June 11, 2020 peacefully following a short illness surrounded by his loving son Rory daughters Cliodhna, Niamh and Emer, JOHN (retired Garda Siochana) beloved husband of the late Finola (née Power) and brother of the late Seamus. Deeply missed by his son, daughters, grandchildren Conor, Rory Óg, Annie, Oscar, Ellie, Ben, Fionn, Noah and Olly, brothers Donie and Padraig, sons-in-law Ger, Brian and Paddy, daughter-in-law Martina, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.
May he rest in peace.
In accordance with Government and HSE guidelines on public gatherings, John’s funeral will be private. Requiem Mass via a live stream on www.bantryparish.ie on Saturday June 13 at 12 noon from St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry, followed by burial in Droum Cemetery, Castletowbere. Donations, in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Bantry Hospice Project, Newtown Bantry.
