The death has occurred of
John Downey
Downey John, 13th March 2026, late of Newcastle and formerly Clondalkin (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family at Tallaght University Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary and brother Jamie. John will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving sons Niall and Eoin, grandchildren Katie, Seán, Megan, Connell, Cormac and Alex, daughters-in-law Noeleen and Lynda, sisters June and Francis, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Wednesday (18th March) from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday (19th March) at 10am in St. Finian’s Church, Newcastle followed by burial at Newcastle Cemetery.
