The death has occurred of
John Downey
Feeragh, Belclare, Tuam, Co. Galway and formerly of Rahoon Road, Galway and Ahascragh Co. Galway, and ex CIE Galway.
15th June 2021 in the wonderful care of Mystical Rose Nursing Home.
Pre-deceased by his wife Mary, son Tomás, and his sister Mary (Tierney)
Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his son Shane, daughter-in-law Susan and his grandsons Tomás and Ethan.
Sadly, missed by his heartbroken family, his brothers Mickey, Joe, Naty and Frank, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
John’s funeral cortege will arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway for his Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock on Saturday 19th June. He will be laid to rest afterwards in Rahoon Cemetery.
Please note all funeral arrangements will take place in accordance with current Government guidelines on Funerals and public gatherings.
